Reverend Doctor Gary "Doc" Diel has been chiropractor and pastor for nearly 40 years and is ready to embark on his next mission in life. After a career ending injury before his professional baseball career really started, he fell into the hands of God and ended up teaching in the medical and Christian fields. God lead him and his family, consisting of his wife and 3 of 4 daughters, all over the U.S. for ministry. Through some extreme ups and downs, multiple near death attacks from the enemy, and many gains and losses, he landed in Washington State with his whole family and  rock solid faith in God. When he's not tinkering around with woodwork or small engines, he enjoys writing, reading the Word, and listening to Christian podcasts. He's known for being able to "fix anything" and is the man with the plan you can always count on. Tackling new ways to distribute God's word is the next step he was called to focus on. He is dedicated to giving God the glory while teaching His children new ways to understand scripture and utilize the gifts and talents God has given them.

 Zoë Michelle Diel is the youngest of the four of Doc's daughters and a spitfire at that. Adopted at 3 months old into what she describes as "The best family she could ask for," she grew up in and around the church before she could walk. Sitting on a BFA degree in creative writing, she always knew she was called to draw in those looking for Him through her writing, gifts and talents, and huge heart she pretends not to have. She truly believes and practices that the greatest commandment is love and that loving others unconditionally is where her ministry leads. "Compassion and Understanding," is the motto she uses as her lens for life. Though she is more on the progressive side of Christianity and has been through many trials and tribulations with the church, she is resolute that the Word is Truth and through it you will find freedom.

We are a father-daughter duo the Lord called to create Christian content together. While Doc is more on the frontlines and the face of Bible Study Discoveries (or BSD), Zoë is the backbone of operations and runs all the media. They have a unique ministry style as Doc is called to teach and impart wisdom, and Zoë is called to counsel and community. They are 2 sides of the same coin in many ways but constantly learn from each other through their giftings. They both started on this journey of Bible Study Discoveries after previously working side by side in ministry in 2023. Through that, God gave them both the greenlight to begin a podcast and live stream ministry that they hope will allow them to support BSD full-time. With nearly 50 years of age between father and daughter, God has given them both old and new ways of exploring scripture and reaching others. They both pray that the love of Christ will flow through them and their content so people will live their best lives.
